That's the thing you actually CAN upgrade on a laptop. Your RAM is the only thing that is the least likely to hold you back, as you're on the recommended requirements for EU.

(You have 1.7) As the atheistic and graphics are improved, these two requirements will likely be higher that EU. Dual core, yes, but also below the 2.0GHz requirement that EU needs. The shitty news is that the main problems are your integrated Graphics card, with the information I can find, it appears to be below the requirements for XCOM:EU. Only this time, your laptop will be chugging with all it's power to meet the needs of the game.

You might get that "slideshow effect" associated with buggy, poorly optimized games. If it does, frame-rate will be low, and the game will likely be choppy. That being said, It's actually pretty unlikely it'll run properly. XCOM2 is advertised in that way, so there's still a chance. Again, the wonders of PC are that if you're smart about it, and do your research, you can tinker around with the more, "open" games and get them to be your little bitch. Sadly, your system specs are below the requirements of XCOM EU. (You can replicate it yourself with a pen, paper, and 2x 10sided die. A lot of the processing power purely goes to AI and the calculations are pretty simplistic. That being said, XCOM isn't that much of a complicated game. I'm going to go under the base assumption that if you can run XCOM EU on decent settings, you should be able to run XCOM2 on low.
